"Money and Beverage" is funny. Anyway, I definitely agree that having separate and joint accounts is better for married couples. My wife and I are pretty good at communicating about financial needs. I totally believe in communicating and sharing the same financial goals.Having different financial goals is fine but it is a lot harder that sharing same goals because of budgeting and money management, unless you're a millionaire . There are a lot of factors involved, but communicating is key.

my bible readin brought me to 1st Timothy 4:1-5 which spks on false doctrine. Paul wanted the church folk 2 live godly & learn true doctrine. weve allowed the world 2 influence so much bcuz weve omitted God & wonder Y our marriages dont work, our kids r disobedient, we dont hav any $. we trust n wut we can see, touch, taste & feel, nstead of havin faith n wut we dont see"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen" Hebrews 11:1(NKJV). im sayin all this 2 say...

definitely joint accts & separate if it works & i agree w/da gurls they should b made known 2 one anutha. BUT everything u do affects the household. bro t u have 2 be totally honest w/ur spouse. it breeds distrust if things r not made known. marriage is not an "illusion of oneness". God created the covenant of marriage. once again its always goes back 2 ur belief systems. which brings me to an old subject of marriage being a dying instution. my bible reading brought me 2 a scripture yest...

Separate and Joint. Joint for house projects, responsebilities, etc. Separate for their personal expenses.

To me I say seperate and joint. When we come together we already have our own account, so we can just keep that and get a joint account. it may cause some mess if someone took money out the joint account and the other person get mad. So u have ur own account they cant say nothing. joint account should be a family thing.

we have a account for the bills and all what we share...and we both have our own account..we trust another and dont feel like we have to explain or share anything for what we wanna spend money on..that is real freedom

if you feel like your women or man dont have to have his own account that mean you wanna control the person and dont trust him or her..

To those who say that you should willfully lie, by not conveying that you have a private account. Seriously... You should not be married or in any union with another party. In truth you are saying that you long to be seperate or are uncertain about your marriage. If you honor and respect your spouse you would disclose such info freely. If you feel that you can't, you both need to communicate and discuss the distrust that exist in your relationship.
