A profile is done of a forensic artist who does reconstructions of the faces of those who have died using their skeletons. She is an advisor to the TV show Quincy and also was an advisor for the movie Gorky Park. Recently she worked with a team who solved the problem of identifying the real remains of Pizarro.

That's awesome! Forensic art is something I've always had an interest in. I almost wish I had gone in that direction of my career.

When forensic art contributes to history and identifies (potentially, as much as we can know at the time) a famous or beloved historic figure who went missing, etc, that just might be forensic reconstruction at its best! I just wish I could see this albeit "artsy" science applied more often in conjunction to archaeological finds, like the Neanderthal remains whose origins escape me at the moment !
