no no no, a poser isn't justt some one who goes to the skatepark and stands there. Sometimes i goto the skatepark to just chill with people and barely skate and i skate like everyday. A poser is someone just trying to fit in with a certain crowd by wearing all the clothes and talking all the talk but never participating in the shit that, that group does.

The term poser/poseur doesn't have to do with just skateboarding. Basically, a poser is someone who pretends to be something they're not (usually an attempt to fit in). For example, in skateboarding, a poser would be someone who claims to be a skateboarder (wears the clothes, has the board, watches the videos, etc.) but never actually skates. They are posing as a skateboarder. A skater's trick selection (what tricks she/he can do), no matter how small, does NOT classify one as a poser.
