Chapter 1: When I grow up

Here is the first chapter of 'Belts and Stars. Our 'Jonas Brothers love story. This is our first try at story writing so please be nice. Thanks to Laura (smileysweetie) for making and posting our trailer. If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out, it'll give you a gd idea of what this is all about. Love you Loz!

** Chapter 1 **

"GIRLS!" yelled Natasha Greene, flinging open the chill room door.
Jenette and Joanna glanced up from the TV but then looked back and ignored their mother as she jumped around the room waving about a copy of 'Young, rich and fabulous' and shoving it under the girls noses.

Jenette pushed away the magazine, "Mum can we talk about this later? Our favourite show is on."
"No we flicking well cant! Have you seen this?!"

Joanna glanced up and saw the caption, 'Greene Scandal!'
"Wait a minute, let me see that!" Jenette grabbed the newspaper from her mothers hands.

Reading it out loud, she said, "Everybody knows the famous John and Natasha Greene and their three children: Harry, male, 22; Jenette, female, 16, twin; Joanna, female, 16, twin, and its no secret that the two daughters scandelous habits and their tendancy to get into messy, inappropraite situations, however, this time Miss Joanna Greene (pictured right) has gone too far. In a recent photo shoot, Miss Greene posed in a seductive and unappealing manor. Many of the girls younger fans have also been busy. Posting similar photos on their facebooks and MySpace's in an attempt to copy their rolemodels behaviour. As far as rolemodels go, Miss Joanna Greene is not ideal as-"

"Not ideal!" Joanna cut her off, "NOT IDEAL! HOW DARE THEY!"
Jo grabbed the magazine and saw the picture, "Damn!" she muttered.
"Yeah, they got you good," agreed Jen, going back to the TV.

"No chance!" shouted Natasha, "you girls are grounded! Go to your room!"
"Mum! We have a save the whales thing today," said Jen, "Wait is it whales?" she looked up at Jo for reassurance.
"Yeah," Jo jumped in, "Or the rainforest or something."

Natasha rolled her eyes, "Its not save the anything. The event today is 'Feed the hungry'."
"Same diff," shrugged Jo, rolling her eyes.
"Technically, by feeding them, we're saving them anyway," agreed Jen.

John Greene walked in.
"Hi daddy!" said Jen, smiling up at her father.
"John, have you seen this?" asked Natasha quietly.
"No, give it here," said John, grabbing it disrespectfully pulling the magazine out his wifes hands.
His face darkened, "Jo, get to your room."
"But daddy," whined Jo.
"Dont you but daddy me! UPSTAIRS. NOW!" yelled John.

Natasha smiled slyly in triumph, "There you have it."
Jo stomped up the stairs. Jen shrugged to excuse herself and slipped up the stairs too, quietly following her sister.

~~THAT NIGHT~~

"Joanna, were leaving," called Harry.
Jo got up off her sofa and dragged herself downstairs, glumly.
Jen gave her sister a sympathetic hug. Mum was making her go to the feed the homeless thing, or was it the hungry? Maybe it was the helpless? No wait was it the diseased? Well, whoever it was, she was going anyway, it wasnt optional.

"The limos here," Harry called over his shoulder, and let the blind drop over the entrance room's main window.
Jo looked away unhappily.
Jen put an arm protectively around her sisters shoulders.
Mum and dad opened the front door and before she knew it, Joanna was by herself. Something she wasnt used too. She grinned widely, "Excellent."

Meanwhile Jen was sitting slumped against the limo window, letting her breath gently steam it up.
Her i-phone bleeped so she clicked accept message. It was from Becs, her best friend. Rebecca Henderson was Jen's best friend, apart from Jo of course.

The message said, 'wer r u? JB r here!'
Jen nearly squealed aloud, Jonas Brothers were here favourite band, EVER!
She clicked reply and sent 'OMJ! HU ELSE IS DER?'
A couple of minutes her reply came, 'Evry1! Get here now!'
