  • I love your work looks great. Are u currently working in the industry? If so where at, if you don't mind me asking? I am currently employed at with Millennium Studios at World Wide FX in Shreveport, Louisiana. I was just doing a little networking today when i ran across your demo , and wanted to let you know that I will be sharing your great work with others within my network. I will send them a LINK to your demo reel and see what they think. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did.

  • @tek23ken Thanks! I am actually currently working in the industry, but I am always open to new job prospects. Being that this was my 2009 demo reel, my skills have increased a bit since this demo reel. I appreciate your encouragement, and your demo reel is looking great as well.

    Cheers!

  • great job, im new to 3d modeling and animation so i cant really add to much, but your civil war officers quarters looked kinda strange when the camera went around the bottle......id suggest adding a few more frames, but over all a fantastic job, i wish i was that good.

  • @CWScott24 Thanks man. I actually made a lot of changes to this since then. I added a label, adjusted the spec and texture of the bottle, etc. It looks a lot better now. Hopefully I will find the time to pump out another reel before the end of this year, with some nicer looking material. Keep on studying! And always remember that Caps Lock is cruise control for cool!

  • Very good work. I esspecially like the car. My only constructive criticism is that the the textures on some of the objects didnt look quite right. Did you use Ambient Occulusion in your scenes? Still, better than alot of stuff ive seen and anything i could manage.

  • Thanks! You caught me. Ha ha. I didn't use AOC on any of the scenes except for the Jeep. The jeep really needed it, but still it's even hard to tell it's there. I did a lot of adjusting in post production compositing. Ramped up the saturation a little, adjusted the contrast etc. etc. I was a little cut for time on this one.

  • @RobertWChristie I am also working on updating my reel. I just have to get all my materials together. any idea when u will be updating yours?

  • Please click on my user name to view my demo reel or just copy and paste "3D Generalist Demo Reel Esteban Olide" in the search box to go straight to it...... If u like it share it with you peers and ask them to leave a comment, and tell them to feel free to send me there demos. Keep up the good work buddy.

  • Even cut on time your work is amaizing. I dont usually use AOC on any of my stuff but ive recently come to like it more. I do think it can take too long to render with it sometimes thogh so i dont blame you for not bothering with it on the scenes that didnt need it too much. :) Keep up the great work!
