Thanks for posting this video - I've been recently diagnosed, and I'm 27. It's really helpful to identify my symptoms when I can hear other people's stories. I've actually adapted to "neurotypical" activities and mannerisms naturally throughout my life... and it's hard to separate what is ME and what is... me acting. Also... HARRY POTTER! :) Love it.

Oh sweet Jesus.. HARRY POTTER :D
Sorry, I got distracted ._.

I identify with most of that stuff. I've avoided walking into or through a room full of people. I've sometimes wondered if it would be significantly less uncomfortable to be in a large group setting if everyone (or anyone) was aware or my condition and they helped me by making it clear what was expected of me and when it was appropriate for me to speak, etc. I feel like the anxiety is simply a result of being aware that I don't know how to participate and the fear of making a social mistake.

I definitely know what 4:59 is like. When my routine is changed at school, I have no idea where to go unless if some one tells me personally but yet the other teens have no problem with it.

the more and more i learn about asperger's syndrome the more i think i might have it..

Its really difficult for me to pinpoint how my anxiety and stress effects me or what it causes in my life...i guess im saying its hard for me to express myself because of my social awkwardness and anxiety.I REALLY appreciate you getting on youtube and voicing how you deal with this because i get to worried about what others think about me to vioce my opinion....which is strange because it goes completely against my personality (or atleast what i think my personality is).Thank you for your video!

@gamemaster014 Yeah, that happens to me a lot. I'll go over directions several times and still not be sure if I'm doing it right, while everyone else is making progress.

@isusmali You know, I never thought about that sort of thing before, but now that you mention it, I experience that sometimes as well. I recently read something that had to do with Asperger's and to my astonishment, the symptoms it listed described me! Since then I've looked into it more and I believe I may have Asperger's. Everytime someone mentions something (like this paranoia about laughter) that I've experienced, I take it as more evidence that I do have it.

"Overcoming social anxiety" by "Thomas A Richards" is really good and helped me a lot with SA.
i get just as anxious as you and its a nightmare for a guy to have. i have tried all the meds but as of lately i make enough money from my investments that i dont have to go out and face the world anymore if i dont want to. U seem like a sweet girl. if u ever want to chat online, please let me know. my videos are titled "the aspergers experience". from, jason

ne question : did you tried some type of therapy and medications ? do medications help ? i know that there is no cure for asperger but do medications lower your anxiety if you ever tried it ?
i can say from my experiance that it does help a little about 1% lol

@isusmali - no I never tried medication, a friends suggested Cognitive behavioral therapy one, but both medication or cognitive behavioral therapy would mean going to my GP and I can't do that due to the anxiety!
