On June 15, 2009, the Town of Bedford, Massachusetts, marked the completion of renovations to its historic Freight House building and Budd Rail Diesel Car 6211. These assets are located at Bedford Depot Park at the terminus of the Minuteman Bikeway.

The former B&M Freight House was built in 1877 as the Engine House for the two-foot-gauge Billerica & Bedford Railroad. During the 1960s and '70s, Rail Diesel Car 6211 operated in local passenger service on the Lexington Branch of the Boston & Maine Railroad.

Speakers at the ribbon cutting were: Joseph Piantedosi, Chairman of the Depot Park Advisory Committee; Jim Shea, President of Friends of Bedford Depot Park; Angelo Colao, Selectman liaison to the Depot Park Advisory Committee; Senator Susan Fargo, Fifth Middlesex District; Luisa Paiewonsky, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Highway Department; Richard Reed, Bedford Town Manager.
