  • This song is incredible. The album is definitely his best yet. Melancholy, quiet, intimately personal and absolutely beautiful.

this song and 'Zebulon' seem to sum up completely his experiences in the time leading up to his mothers death. Just perfect composition/writing. I don't know of anyone else working today who's so willing to show you a bit of their soul every time they sing. I feel like I should thank him for sharing something so sad and beautiful...

  • I am so excited for this album to debut! Absolutely gorgeous, Rufus never falters.

  • @filmgeek52 No argument, his best effort to date. Like you said, introspective and real. Great work.

  • @joeknee4767--- Me thinks you are too busy hearing the sound of your whiny self entitled douchenozzle voice to hear anything else let alone brilliance . The guy is effortless at pouring his heart out and newsflash .. not a top 40 hit .. just a bit of his soul .. remember what that is ?? Stop comparing your career (or lack thereof ) and art ( see previous phrase inserted in parenthisis) to other people .. and maybe work in a puppy shelter or feed the homeless ..or maybe write a song about it :)

  • Tears... what more to say?

  • its weird how tom waits has a song called martha and it happens to involve a telephone call and rufus has one involving martha and a telephone call... rufus' song is awful though. this is really bad... he just keeps repeating himself. even if the songs have no correlation it is an interesting coincidence.

  • @joeknee4767 dude, 44 yrs of homophobia and serious father-issues. get help. get professional help
