@nicktm94 The laptop could have been a MacBook instead, which runs on Intel. Traffic lights are controlled at a central place, (or well there are multiple) and they may be running on Intel CPU based servers. Not sure about the DS though.

@sicarius100 you can protect it and you porobably don't use the mosfets that we use but finfets or some radiant kind of FET and it might be better to have something like 45nm process in space than a 65 because you are able to put things dubble ont he same chip like a dual core whit dual l2 caseh and dual l3 and so on. and they need lower scale to use less power so it will be made lighter to get it into space.
