Sorry, but are you talking about the sequel to the game(s) that have headless cyborg suicide bombers screaming like bitches as they chase you down, giant '40s Looney Tunes-esque bombs in hand? And the scorpions with gatling gun arms? And all manner of other insane enemy designs, locales and improbable weapons to gib them with? That one?

Sorry, I can't take your complaints seriously in this case. No offense.

No offense taken - each to their own, but it's not an uncommon complaint.

Oh come on, it's not that bad! It still has the dark and gritty atmosphere, mixed with more apparent humour. Have you ever heard of that abomination known as Duke Nukem Forever? Play that one, compare it to this game, then come back and tell me how it went.

@Dambrosi You've gotta look at the artstyles of the games. The original two have graphics trying to be realistic, though it's very outrageous. This one looks like it'd be happy to be cell-shaded. It just looks cartoony.

Very good and very accurate review - to other comments on the "silly" and "cartoony" nature of this installment, this is apparent in the shift in visual direction from the first one, and the shift from a mature tone. Clearly, the first game was very far from serious in its over-the-top style, but it still had a more adult sense of menace and grittiness, whereas the second merely feels like Rayman with guns.

Serious sam 2 also has flaws beside the graphics...In serious sam 1 everything felt intense and fun ,sometimes really hard and a challange but not so much that it's frustrating. In this one,it's either to easy and boring or annoyingly hard in a frustrating way. Plus.I really hate the enemies with hitscan weapons in this one. it's annoyinh.

I am amazed by how many people don't like this game, I loved it from start to finish. Yeah it's cartoonish and doesn't take itself seriously, but so what? It's one of the most fun games to play IMO. I can see how people can dislike it, but personally I think it's great. The super sizing of enemies is hilarious and the battles, especially on Sirius, are epic.
