This is a textbook example of how Johnny was a master of putting his guests at ease and having them open up. With this single interview, we clearly see Linda's amazing passion for music and her charming shyness when he compliments her. He and Ed were absolutely right about her too! Sorry Jay, but without Johnny Carson, there is no "Tonight Show".

She says she doesn’t talk much on stage, but if you look at the clip of Love is a Rose from the Atlanta concert, you can hear that same “nerdy fun” voice right before she starts belting out the song. What a contrast!
