fishing is not a sin, its a hobby! and anglers like stewart and myself and many other anglers take good care of the fish when landing, unhooking and releasing the fish so as little damage is caused to the fish as possible! it has also been proven by scientist that fish feel very little pain when hooked due to the nerves being at no endings around the mouth! I believe fishing is a perfectly reasonable sport to take as a hobby, and i intend to carry on fishing!

  • what about your fishing habit, reverend? you fish la lot! sometimes all night long. that seems like a totally idle, and therefore an apparently very bad, bad thing, according to what you have said here. it's not like you need to fish to survive. you need to stop this idle fishing immediately; it's a mortal sin. every idle minute spent fishing is sinful. even tom sawyer and huck finn learned that, many years ago (something i imagine they discussed at length on their many fishing trips).
