@NikolasK88 Who are you? You have to measure his success against his peers. I can't see anyone matching his longevity as a champion in the 80's and 90's. He adapted his dancing and led the styles that you dance today. When was the last time you saw a championship where they danced 3 minutes to every dance and 5 dances through each round? Also the tempos were faster, no one waited for 20 secs before they started the jive and finished 10 seconds before the music finished as we see so often now!

The special thing at Donnie and Gaynor was the feeling...
And you cant feel it over the video!!!

The only reason this guy could be successful was that the 80s were so terrible in respect of latin dancing. I watched several videos of him and I still can't get what is so special about him. For me his dancing is boring and doesn't look good
