@HUGOVANTA I used to think that, because Holm was so much shorter than the other elite jumpers (only 181cm!), he had to travel very far along the bar.
But then I watched video of Franklin Jacobs on Y*uT*be, who also jumped 59cm over his head, and Jacobs took off much closer to the bar.

if he held his arch for a split second longer that could have been a 243cm jump maybe. amazing jumper, one fo the greatest all time

he jumped form like 2.5m from the mat and landed around 2m into the mat. so he travelled 2.40m high and and roughly 4.5m long. WTF
