Huckabee - TX Textbook Selection Could Effect The Country

Mike Huckabee and guest Mathew D. Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, discuss the upcoming vote on school textbook selection in Texas, which could impact most public school systems across America. Some of the textbook revisions include: Removing references to Daniel Boone, General George Patton, Nathan Hale, Columbus Day, and Christmas. Replacing the term "American" with "Global Citizen" stating that students need to be shaped "for responsible citizenship in a global society". Portraying America as a villain in the global marketplace and using the theories of Karl Marx and John Maynard Keynes for teaching Economics.

WTF!?! everything they just said is the exact opposite of what is happening on the texas school board..no one is fighting to remove 'american exceptionalism' or 'erase god from the constitution' or 'take out the word christimas'...christian fundamentalist and far right conservatives are the ones on the board fighting to insert their own ideology in school textbooks and omit factual information. everything huckabee and this asshole said is fucking absurd!!

ok ive actually seen video of that debate, and i gotta say, they completely made that debate look nothing like whats really going on... Its not even a left wing attack on religion. They never agreed on having christianity removed at all... the main debate is on making things seem like america is the most perfect country in the world and its not.. America is great, but hiding mistakes is just completely wrong as well, one woman wanted to remove the word propaganda because it seemed negative
