The Holy Cross mountain bike trail

I'm heading up there next week. Should I bring flat pedals? I use shimano spd's. I also have 100 mm bike Blur XC(carbon). I'm most worried about cutting my frame on a rock, does anyone think thats a real problem? I ride in south Texas

I have ridden Holy Cross. Grand Junction and Fruita have some great trails.
