@ItsEryk I was a begginer on irish music then.

@sizefam4 That's the easiest song on the fiddle EVER.

What Littlefirby doesn't realize is that most of what offends him is the fact that your intonation is flat... not just some, but almost every single note, and WAY flat.
That's making your fiddle sound thin.
Since ALL of the notes are flat, they don't sound too bad in relation to each other, but when a note is too far sharp OR flat, you lose the fullness..
Get a Korg TM-40 tuner and watch as you play, until your ears train. Mine says you rarely come within -20 cents of "On Pitch".

While I think your plaing is getting good... do yourself a favour and get rid of that cheap mass produced violin and get a propper one... the sound from that is hideous... look for a violin with a single piece back and some real colour... one such as you are using sounds harsh and offensive. If you have to play that then purchase a mute for it to soften the sound.

You have a real talent! Loved this song, and second part with double strings.=D Keep up the good work!
The other thing Littlefirby doesn't realize is that 1-piece vs 2-piece back doesn't mean squat for sound, and neither does color, nor amount of FIGURE, which is probably what he's calling "color".
If your fiddle has ANY laminated pieces or the top isn't hand-carved, THAT makes a huge difference.
If that's your case, get a Cremona SV-175 or higher model#.
Else have a violin shop do a good setup on it. The fiddle itself IS adding to your thin sound. Bad setup likely. S/B $60.
