Nice theory yet the “Independent” label is a farce. According to a recent Pew study only 10% of, ahem, Independents actually think independently from party lines. And only the politically inept or gullible believe otherwise. Independent is just another word for dissatisfaction with one or both primary political party, and holds no core foundations from which to gage issues; blowing in the wind toward flavors of the week.
