As much as people love to compare Syd and Robyn, I personally believe they are really very different. Two different minds, two different styles, two different human beings. Robyn is the first to admit that early on his work was heavily influenced by Syd's music, and I feel it would be difficult to deny that he has since come into his own. Very gracefully and uniquely, I might add.
I understand the ivy comparison. It's creeped its way into my life and refuses to leave.
He's better. So no, I don't think he's in Barrett's class.
Opinions aside, you entirely ignored my point: Hitchcock has done more to keep Barrett's work alive and send people back to hear the originals than anyone else. Heck of a lot more than Gilmore ever did for him.
great.....!

Shadowcat is a much better album than Ole Tarantula
Give Oslo a miss if you see it - the best song on it (Up to our nex) is on the Rachel Getting Married soundtrack
