  • Actually I was at that show with college mates. The Montreal audience was quite lukewarm until the end. They weren't familiar with Quadrophenia at the time. The opening band Lynard Skynard got booed off the stage. One of the hardest crowds to please I've ever seen. The Who went back to their hotel room and trashed it in frustration and they had to pay $3000 for damages to get out of jail. It was a great show but it took people a while to appreciate Quadrophenia.

  • YEA WOOT WOOT MONTREAL LOL :D

  • @msmola2002 yeah ... well .. I luv their stuff - for the most part raw and honest - besides, we're all human and I'm no1 to judge - too bad it only takes 1 "bad apple" to turn the barrel, be it a person or a decision or what have you :( I'm told by a mutual friend that "the guys are, basically, hard working, 'just guys', and were living the dream for a while" but starting to get a "whiff of the reality of it", whatever that means ;> They r proudly Cndn and I for 1 am proud of that ...

  • @DDKFILMS lmao - u have a point there ... but it does emphasize what I was saying to Rockgod10210 - what's up w kids today?? Don't kno what they're talking about but have the nerve to call themselves "gods" - and then make something like Beiber popular!! smh - Mr wannabe-Rockgod should get himself out of the southern USA (just guessing at that) and find out what the rest of the world is up to ... (I can't believe it took me 2 mnths to get back to this acct)

  • @DannChic Neil Young is good, But you have beiber. And that for me just ruins canadas image.

  • @DannChic I wouldn't be too proud of nickelback :-p

  • @Rockgod10210 In 1973?? U'r obviously too young (and too dumb) to have been born, yet!! Esplly to hv made this comment, that Canada sucks. Where've u been the last 4 yrs, let alone the last 40?? An'don't get me started on The Guess Who, Trooper, Kim Mitchell (n Max Webster), Nickelback, The Trews, WhiteSnake, FireHouse, The Tragically Hip ... and, oh yeah!! Let's not forget the genius who is Neil Young. That's how Skynyrd gets booed off the stage in 1973!!! Do ur homwrk, child, or shut it =)

  • Wow.. That just shows that Canada sucks.. and the only good thing they produced was Rush.. How the hell does Skynyrd get booed off the stage??!?!

  • @mcusiman Yup Quadrophenia took a while to catch on but it ranks right up there with Tommy for composition genius! Both of those are my favorite Who albums.

  • "During his recent NBC Tonight Show appearance with Chickenfoot, he wore a T-shirt that read, "I Am Not Will Ferrell"."

  • Been looking for this! didnt they get banned in Canada for ten years after this gig? Hauled em all off to jail for excessive partying (even Roger who was asleep hours earlier). Their manager had to bail them out so they could make their next gig.
