They should build a rocktrack and casino, paint numbers on them and bet on the rocks. Would that not be awesome?

how come the rocks move..so weird...

when it rains the ground becomes very slippery. Then, if there are strong winds, the gusts can give the stones enough momentum to start moving. It happens only every few years but the trails they leave stay for some years too - it's really unusual to see.

why scientist are wasting their time looking for the answer?Think they are the most educated people in the world that can only find out the truth? I do believe in science, but scientist have to understand all things happened to our mother nature isn't all science. If they could just go look for a person people call "Mother".(not our mom, a person that can talk to the spirit of guarding that land.)

There is no question about how these move. In the winter after enough rain that floods the playa to about 1 or 2 inches then freezes. Not all the way to the ground but just enough that the ice floats. As more rain moves across the playa and the ensuing currents/wind move the ice pushing / pulling the rocks. If you look at the tracks there are many that are in parallel, but then move apart. That happens when the ice breaks up and they start heading off in different directions.
