Misterduncan takes us for a mid afternoon treat! Filmed in Penkridge, near Stafford. Grateful thanks to the staff at "Dickens Of A Tea Shoppe" for allowing me to film on their premises!

  • So so lucky to have eaten such a delicacy in such a wonderful village!!!!!!

  • I totally agree.

  • Mr Duncan,

Why it written as "Dickens of a Tea Shoppe" instead of "Dickens of a Tea Shop"?

  • The spelling of 'Shop' is in old English, that is why it is spelt 'Shoppe'. The word 'Dickens' relates to Charles Dickens the famous author. Believe it or not the word Dickens was used as a metaphore for 'great', 'wonderful' or 'unbelievable. There is also the phrase "What the Dickens?" which is used as an exclaimation to mean "What is going on?". (Misterduncan)

  • my hometown and i've never been in that place. you make our village seem so boring, but i like this video! you should see the place at night!

  • Thanks for the comment. I did not intend to make Penkridge look boring as I did not show much of the village. To be honest I like being there...and I'm always guaranteed a delicious All day brekkie. :-)

  • crystal castles?

  • gotta have brown sauce man! But I suppose ketchup is best with scrambled egg :)

  • Looks like a delicious meal, except for the four sugars and the ketchup (American spelling). But please take off your cap when you sit at table. And don't impale the poor defenseless sausage on your fork and bring the whole thing to your mouth; learn better table manners, please.
