Optimistic of demand for LED lighting growing stronger in the years ahead, Neo-Neon LED Lighting International Ltd is expanding the capacity of its vertically integrated operation. In an interview with Global Sources, chairman Ben Fan talks about the company's outlook on the industry and its efforts to boost competitiveness.

About the company
Having started in 1997, Neo-Neon is one of China's pioneers in LED application product development. It set up a LED packaging factory in 2002 and, with its entry into epitaxial wafer manufacturing, became a vertically integrated operation focusing on white LED-based lighting in 2008.

The company has factories in China and Vietnam. It is listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
