" He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self though I do not know what is in Yours; truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is hidden (and unseen).

And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!

Quranic viewpoint that every nation was sent a Messenger for their guidance. The important matter was the concept of Tawheed i.e., in oneness of Allah. The secondary matter was Shariah which kept changing from tribe to tribe and nation to nation time to time BUT WITH QURAN AND LAST MESSENGER MUHAMMAD SAW ALLAH HAVE ABOLISHED ALL PREVIOUS SCRIPTURES AND LAWS ,T. Allah, the most high, alone knows what is good for His creation. As it is mentioned in the Qur'an:
And for every Ummah (a community or a nation), there is a Messenger; when their Messenger comes, the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. (Qur'an 10:47)

And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allah (Alone), and avoid (or keep away from) Taghut (all false deities, etc. i.e., do not worship Taghut besides Allah)." Thenof them were some whom Allah guided and of them were some upon whom the straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the endof those who denied (the truth). (Qur'an 16:36)

Some of these Messengers are mentioned in the Qur'an by Allah and some of them are not as the Qur'an says:

And, indeed We have sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad(P)); of some of them We have related to you their story and of some We have not related to you their story, and it was not given to any Messenger that he should bring a sign except by the Leave of Allah. So, when comes the Commandment of Allah, the matter will be decided with truth, and the followers of falsehood will then be lost. (Qur'an 40:78)

So, we decided to have a look at the issue of Messengers sent to various tribes and nations and taking the advice of the Qur'an So travel through the land and see what was the end of those who denied (the truth).
Allah is our creator and he sent following prophets to guide mankind

Idris (Enoch)
Nuh (Noah)
Hud (Eber)
Saleh (Salih)
Ibrahim (Abraham)
Lut (Lot)
Ismail (Ishmael)
Is'haq (Isaac)
Yaqub (Jacob)
Yusuf (Joseph)
Ayyub (Job)
Shu'ayb (Jethro)
Musa (Moses)
Harun (Aaron)
Dawud (David)
Sulayman (Solomon)
Ilyas (Elijah)
Al-Yasa (Elisha)
Yunus (Jonah)
Dhul-Kifl (Ezekiel)
Zakariyya (Zechariah)
Yahya (John the Baptist)
Isa (Jesus)
And the final prophet is Muhammad ( saw)

I just read it. It actually does not explain my point. Why does a baby born in China not know anything about islam or allah until AFTER he is told about it? And that same baby doesnt become a muslim until after years of being told about god, and finally a lot of time being told about islam?

Sure, if babies were born muslim, it should take about 5 minutes for them to understand about allah?

Lets do a "what if" experiment here.

IF IF IF one claim in the quran can be shown to be false, that would raise a question about the quran coming from an all knowing Allah.

But does that mean everything about islam is wrong? No. Even if there is no allah, and the quran is just a book written based on what mohammad said, there is still many good things in there. Does it really matter where good comes from? Its still good, right?

Probably. With a drug addict, you can take the drugs away, and in a fairly short time, they are no longer addicted.

But with religion, it can take years of therapy to cut through all the years of false logic and brainwashing until the person finally understands why their religion based on supernatural claims that have no basis in reality. My view is that all people are born without religion, and its instilled in them through years of indoctrination by parents, religious institutions, and religious societies.

Why else do babies growing up in buddist societies become buddist, babies in islamic societies become muslim, and babies NOT subjected to religion are not religious?

No, babies are not born muslim. If they were, every culture would know about the quran, but they dont. Its not until muslims show up and demand they convert to islam do they start to hear about islam.

The verse you quote has been abrogated (2.106) by later verses. (especially 9:5).

If you believe this "no compulsion" verse, great, but you are in a minority within islam.

Why do you think muslims persecute non muslims in Islamic states?
