It was a french movie but was entirely shot in a small village near Reggio Emilia not far from the place in which the author wrote the book. I live in Reggio Emilia and everybody knows that here. Part of the production was french and the director as well because nobody here wanted to take part in the production because of political reasons......

does anyone remember a BBC adaptation of the Don Camillo stories? Brian Blessed played Peppone but cant find any other reference. These books were truly brilliant, very inspirational and very spiritual. I have a very old and tattered volume of the main works. Most read book in the house
