Sri Purandara Dasaru is really great. He was a maha bhagavatha who brought Sri Krishna parmathma very close to Kannadadigas through his wonderful compositons. He is also right called the father of Karnatak(Carnatic) Music, which he made it very simple to learn for the beginners.

Purandaradasaru was such a great composer that he is beyond comparison. Bhakti bhava comes so naturally in his copositions. Tears come out of our eyes, overwhelmed by the bhakti brimming in this great man's compositions. Sung with intense feeling by MSS
