This was on the BBC? And people actually watched it? I'm truly impressed. As an American, I'm very disappointed that so much of our TV programming caters to a very, very low common denominator, with the result that so much of what is available seems to resort to (semi) naked women and explosions to hold the audience's attention. How refreshing it must be to live in a country where thinking adults make shows for other thinking adults!

    Get yourself a life Gardiner.

What were the German soldiers singing at the Hitler parades?

"Jesu joy of man's desiring or Heil Hitler"?

    HALLELUJAH!!

This is why the British present us with Simon Cowell, Viscount Norwich, and Sir John Eliot Gardiner. This is why Americans present us with Danity Kane, Britney Spears, The Insane Clown Posse, and World Wrestling Entertainment.

Small wonder US Citizens grow up so stupid, for the most part, and that the U. S. A. is going straight to hell whilst the rest of the world stands by, watches, and laughs.
