U need to better explain the slip cut because the jacks and the card are not on top

I can't stand this trick. It's harder than it looks.

Well I have the trick down now, but the first time I tried it I pulled out the Ace of Spades, and put the Jacks on top. Now this is the weird part, I did the cut, put the packet on top, but my jacks vanished and the ace of spades was between 2 Queens. This is a cool trick but I want to know how i did THAT.
