Today i opened audition, and my panning butting in the multitrack view is missing, anyone knows how to get it back?

Hi all, I just started using adobe audition 2, but I'm facing a problem, was wondering anyone else has this problem. It happens when I click the record button, the recorded wave out has this 'timely' cut, almost like a metronome pause, then resumes recording (so i get a sudden dissapearing jump every now and then). without recording, the mike works perfectly fine. Anyone gets this
