Lovelies,
Being the proper lemming, I took your advice in the comments of my previous video:

And re-whipped my shea butter and coconut oil moisturizer on ice. Granted, there were some "technical difficulties" but all in all I like the method and will reuse in the future.

Thanks for helping me out! :)

  • So how often do you apply the mix to your hair? Daily, Weekly, etc?

  • @tekprice :: I apply as necessary, it really depends on the style, time of year, condition of my hair etc.

  • @glamazini But, you don't have to wash it out after you apply it right? I use coconut oil (as a deep conditioner b4 I wash my hair) and olive oil (as a hot oil treatment) for my hair but, I always wash it out. I was interested in the Shea Butter mix but I didn't want to use it w/o knowing whether I have to wash it out or not bc I didn't want to ruin my hair. I'm just getting into using natural products & I don't really know wht to do.

  • @tekprice :: No I don't wash it out, but also don't apply the same amount you would if you were doing a "hot oil treatment" so to speak. You put a dime to quarter-sized amount in your hand, rub until it melts clear, and apply it to your hair focusing on the ends. I would also suggest misting your hair lightly with water before applying.

  • What is the ice for? Doesn't the shea and oil mix get hard by itself once it has melted?

  • @SofhiaX I tried the ice because on my last video it was suggested. Honestly I don't see the need and won't use it again, just thought I'd give it a whirl.

  • Just wanted to let you know this mix has rescued my dry hair. No more dry hair issues for this girl. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • @glamazini Oh okay. Thanks sooo much for responding to my comments. I left other comments on other people's videos and they didn't get a chance to respond. Thanks so much. This was really helpful. :D.

  • if you would have put the bowl back in some hot water the shea butter would have soften up then ypu whip it again and that would make your whipped butter just like whipped cream by the next day-Good video

  • keep trying til you get it right. I need to start measuring because someone asked me how do I make it and I couldnt tell them how much to add. B.( I hear people getting their shea from different venders and I dont know if I trust online folks. Would you mind me asking how much do you pay for yours and is it a large container? I could get shea for about $5 (16oz) and recently paid about $8. too much, I hear the yellow isnt shea but African butter, I hope I'm getting shea 100%.
