Each year, the Ontario Government hosts public consultations as they formulate their budget. Sandy Hudson and Nora Loreto from the Canadian Federation of Students argue that students need relief from high student debt and tuition fees, and that this will be an election issue in October 2011.
Excellent submission to the Government of Ontario from the official voice of college and university students. There is no question that funding for post-secondary education is key to the success of the next generation. Tuition fees do not just need to be frozen ... they should be reduced annually until there is no cost of learning. Education is a right and our children deserve nothing less than the opportunities it affords.
