  • Why does the album cover of Hardin & York's "Tomorrow Today" fade through the video at the one minute mark, and then again a couple minutes later?

  • I have no idea... It was already this way on the source I got.

  • Hot Rats and Salad great! I never got into The Band - (I will now explore) Want One (Rufus Wainright) is well worth the effort. Then there are the 400 others worthy of mention! But let's not go there. haha ;) Tarkus, Trilogy, Fragile, Electric Ladyland, Layla and assorted Love Songs, Crime of the Century, anything by Steely Dan, KT Tunstall, Imogen Heap, Zero 7, Alan Price or Georgie Fame, Steve Hillage, The Who, Prefab Sprout and finally my little secret....Erik Mongrain's "airtap"

  • ...and Abbey Road, Blood on the Tracks, Mirage, The Snow Goose, In Rock, some Cat Stevens, Moving Waves, Apostrophe, Joe's Garage, Trespass, Giles Giles & Fripp, Living in the Past, Songs from the Wood, Islands, Lark's, Starless, Red, Wild Life, Venus and Mars, A Night at the Opera, A Time and a Word, more Caravan, some Bonzo Dog, Delaney & Bonnie, Dust, Poco, Argus... phew! All these masterpieces, and still the majority of people prefer to listen to some REAL CRAP. Oh my...

  • In The Land of Grey and Pink, Close To The Edge, Foxtrot, Pictures At An Exhibition (ELP), OK Computer, Want One (Rufus Wainright), All Things Must Pass, A Passion Play, In The Court Of the Crimosn King, The White Album (Beatles)/Led Zeppelin IV (is a joint 10th allowed?!)

  • Man... your list is challenging! I would take out OK Computer (didn't "got" it till this day), Want One ('cause I don't know it), Pictures and replace for Hot Rats (Zappa), Brain Salad (ELP) and The Band's Brown Album. A tentative list, at least. ;)

  • Yup, classic song from my favorite group for a number of years. I've been a Caravan fan since about 1971 when a friend scored their first lp, this song is from, out of a cutout record bin. I never thought I'd ever get the chance to actually see any of these old performances. If not for YouTube I still wouldn't have. Vintage music vids like these, in a good quality copy, should be made available to the general public, in the same way as you can download an MP3. I'd even pay! Someone take note.

  • Awesome band. They should be more recognised.

  • did he mention Soft Machine at about 2:17? Awesome!

  • cool

  • I need o take a trip!!!

  • danke für die videos! hat jemand "Waterloo Lilly" von Caravan?

  • Such magic! This is of a different order: an untouchable and so special English beauty. And it's terrific in general of course as well.

  • Canterbury scene had a lot of English Medieval-Rennaissance stuff. Maybe is like Grateful Dead taking things like bluegrass and other american psychedelic band with the Folk things... Made something new takin something old from his wn countries..

  • "There ain't a storm that my ship can't carry me through" Rare video footage of an excellent 'Canterbury Scene' band.

  • Probably the person doing the video effects for Beat Club thought it was a cool looking image, and probably used it as number of times on the show.

  • Absolutely stunning. This is hastings/sinclair/sinclair/coughlan, right?

  • There are lots of Beat Club compilation DVDs around. I don't recall this being on any that I have, though. I wish the BBC had been as careful of their archive material.

This and the Motherlight (Bobak, Jons, Malone) album were two of the best from the psychedelic era.
