gah... the original before they added in all the CGI scenes was so much better. The CGI looks terrible.

@McLarenMercedes Yeah, I was kidding cause I'd just watched Bullitt. THX is a great film though. A real mind bender when I first saw it in the late 70's. Far more thought provoking than Logan's Run at the time.

In a futuristic society?? I hope you're kidding. The reason he picked the LeMans racers was because most movie goers didn't recognize them from the street. Only people into motorsport spotted the Lola T70.

The car's hyperactive reponses in the CGI:
1. Don't match the original scenes, which show a fleshier car
2. Shrink the car to a tiny matchbox
3. Suggest driving skill in a clueless driver, THX
Plus the CGI car looks shorter and stubbier in profile. But this all slips through Lucas' quality control filter? George, George, George.
