Heavens to Murgatroid! Kudos & Congrats! Wonderful clip! THANKS for posting! Though whenever I hear this song I can't help but visualize Jerry Lewis doing it! CHEERS! :-)

I didn't realize how often this song is being performed live - but I see a lot of postings here on YouTube.
I've always been amused by this song, but as time passes it becomes less and less understandable. Very few people today have used, or are familiar with, manual typewriters. The sound of the bell (warning that you're nearing the end of the line) and of the platen turning are crucial to this song.

can anybody tell me what typewriter he uses?

That is an interesting question. Apparently you are to young to remember manual typewriters. In order to protect the planton (The roller the paper is against) you had to use 2 sheets of paper. It wasn't two copies, only one with the second one as a protection page. I had to learn to type to this piece of music. A lot of practice.

@MassMusician88 Thank you. I'm glad someone on here knows what they're talking about.

Bravo!
Ironically enough, the memo he's typing is about how little diversity there is in musical instruments.
