  • This song was originally recorded by Irma Thomas, a woefully underappreciated soul singer from New Orleans, in 1964. If you like Tracey's version (and I do, a lot), you should definitely check out the original.

  • @lcalegan I think you'll find Beryl Marsden did a version in 1963. She was no relation to Gerry Marsden of the Pacemakers fame.
