This video shows how I was able to integrate an iPad in the dash of my Tacoma. This being my first car audio project, it was a learning experience for me.

  • I'm an x-ray tech full time. I dabble in carpentry. I try to build anything I can before I have to buy it.

  • I want! Only thing is I have an ipad2. But I love that idea, I just suck with tools.

  • i love how the dash piece slides forward to give you space to slide in the ipad and then goes back flush with the dash...quality install

  • pretty crappy work on the pioneer radio

  • Nice job that's cool.

  • What model Pioneer headunit did you use? Also, other than the ipad dock what other accessories did you end up getting to make this work? Great job!!

  • What is the piece that you use to plug in the iPad and it powers it wen u start the car

  • Brilliant idea.. I don't know If I could cut into my truck like that. Came out very clean.

  • Great video and idea. The only thing I would add to it is a back panel so the radio isn't exposed so much when the iPad is out.

  • one of the cleanest ipad installs out yet, fantastic considering this was your first car audio project but id seriously doubt you are new to this type of work being that you have a router and table saw laying around.

LEDs need to be less obvious and more ambient IMO.
