  • I think Britain is probably one of the greatest nations, if not the greatest. Yes, I am from the U.S. Margaret Thatcher is one of the reasons the nation is so great.

  • Why should Britain have to compromise?

  • Miss Tatcher was an old smart fox. Supported European Union, but didnt push Britain to adopt Euro currency . 20 years after Maastrich we see German and Nazi Vichy France jumping out with money after putting fire on circus, toalso get profits in helping the injuried audience. Very wise ,Margareth Tatcher. My respect. Thats is why Britain is great. Miguel MOUTA Lt Col MD , Brazilian Army.

  • @Ikazi Hahaah LOL! Why should Britain not compromise, everyone else in the world Needs to compromise, but not Britain? Why, ist the land of Britain of any exception to civilized interaction? Wow, one sees where Americans get their nationalist political naivity and imperialist arrogance from.

  • If you ask any black person from Zimbabwe, they will tell you that life under "racist" Ian Smith was far better than it is now under "liberator" Mugabe; the latter, despite all the atrocities, is still very popular with lily-livered left Western intellectuals, because, naturally, racism can only be white - black racism is justified revenge for colonialism.

Well, no. France and Germany are considered much more powerful and influential politically and economically. Britain is not taken very seriously. Too commited to the US, weak in industrial production and exports, with an excellent army but not much of a military technology.

  • @mchap38834 Best wishes and total respect to the US our greatest ally and proud friend. Bless you.

  • @mchap38834 Totally agreed! And I'm from Canada :P I can't stand how all these people called her "unreasonable"--sometimes you have to be stubborn or even unreasonable to put forward reason. She was intelligent, armed with both street smarts from her middle class background and her higher education--but most importantly a great foresight. Let's see the Euro is falling apart; so she was wrong to keep the Pound Sterling?

  • @mchap38834 Probably? Make a proper statement.

  • @globetrotter0580 Americans have no knowledge of history as they have none.

  • Wow, Helmut Schmidt on 09:00 - one of the greatest German Chancellors in history!!

  • @mchap38834

I think, Britain is one of the most overrated country in history...
