Elevation Networks- Deloitte Collaboration & Partnership Overview

We're pleased to announce that Deloitte in partnership with Elevation Networks took home the coveted Collaboration and Partnership Award at the Race For Opportunity Annual Awards Dinner 2011. The award was given for a programme/ work aimed at addressing equality, diversity and inclusion with a focus on race, undertaken in collaboration with external stakeholders from the same and/or diverse sectors.

In 2010 Deloitte partnered with Elevation Networks. In under ten months and spurred by the statistic that close to 50% of African & Caribbean
young are unemployed or grossly under-represented in the City, Elevation Networks and Deloitte had: been on a nationwide tour of African and Caribbean societies on campus; run a global enterprise event during National Enterprise Week focus
ing on emerging markets; created special university campus representatives for Deloitte; and built a new social media space to help students find jobs. Deloitte have since set up Visible Women's mentoring programme for female EN members, a special taskforce to assist with the EN's Black Student Report, an ongoing special support service for Elevation Networks members applying for Deloitte posts, which includes: being given a buddy at initial application; pre interview preparation; advice on how to approach online tests.
