Howdy everybody it's Mark Lyne from ... okay wait a minute I was covering up the mic... Alright, it's Mark Lyne from Central Texas Insurance - A Mark Lyne Agency.

I wanted to talk today about deductibles.

You'll notice the background is not moving I'm in the car, but not driving.

There's two types of deductibles, the first is Collision, it's exactly what it sounds like it's if somebody were to collide with you or you were to collide with somebody else or, something that is standing still, for example, and the second type is Other Than Collision or some people will call it Comprehensive.

So the first type of deductible Collision is the most expensive deductible of the two.

For that one we are usually paying for doctors, lawyers, brand new vehicles, you know... People usually have a lot more bodily injury in a Collision, their cars sustain a lot more damage that kind of thing...

Comprehensive or Other Than Collision - best way I know how to explain that is it's stupid animals, mean people and God. So, for example, if a deer, if you hit a deer or a deer hits you if somebody vandalizes your car or if there's a hail storm or something along those lines, or the occasional piece of flying plywood like the one that hit my car a couple of months ago, so, anyway, call me, I can tell you a little bit more about that story.

So, that's it, your two ah, two auto deductibles sort of explained quickly.
- Other Than Collision - stupid animals, mean people & God.
- Collision - you ramming into things or things ramming into you.
