@Raioan I think West Timor do not have natural resources (CMIIW),if it has, may be it will get many international attention (if timor oil& gas Res. located in West Timor off shore, Autralia wil pay much attention,so does Jakarta), but you should thanks of it, Aceh & Papua have many resources and there is war because of it.

may be, there should be war for independence like east timor so west timor can get international attention, and much aid money will come to build a new country : )

@mimeNo9 West Timor is Indonesia, Ducth and Portugues divide the island into two country. The Climate is dry, not as fertile as other island. I think if Timor Gap which has oil reserve located near west Timor, it will also gain international attention, esp. australia :)

So speak about WT problems (their mallnutricious, they are poor), becoz Jakarta didn't pay attention well to help West Timorese to get the better life. The same problems with Maluku, West Papua, Sulawesi and Kalimantan, Jakarta (Indonesian government) just come to steal all our richness and bring it to Jakarta, and left us poor in our lands, and kill us if we protest them. Help West Timor please....

Why West Timor (WT) has many problems? Until now Indonesian government never pay attention well to WT proggesive.Indonesia only pay attention for several tribes or etnics there (Java-Sumatra),but for WT? Never10x.Indonesia dominated by Javanese Sumatrans (60% populations;moslems,85%) in the western part of Indonesia. For people from eastern part of Indonesia (40%of population & a half of that number are Christians),Jakarta didn't pay attention. They come2 WT just2steal our nature resources.

East Nusa Tenggara has 4,4 millions people (West Timor 1,7;Alor 0,2;Sumba 0,6;Flores 1,9.These 4 groups namely: FLO-BA-MOR-A (Flo= Flores; Ba= Sumba; Mor= West Timor; A= Alor; means:Beloved Flower.Religion:East Nusa Tenggara has 55% Catholics, 36% Protestants, 8% Moslems, less than 1% Hindu or Buddha. Especially in West Timor: from 1,7 millions divided into: Protestants: 56%, Catholics: 40%; moslem: 3%; Hindu Buddha less than 1 %. So,speak bout West Timor,truly we speak about CHRISTIANITY (96%)!

Timor, only one island.East Timor is a half of the island, West Timor, is a half too of the island. East Timor is a new country (before 1976-1999 was a part of Indonesia;"Indonesia occupied that country, after Portugal(1975)left East Timor alone,and even EastTimor proclaimed already it's independence soon in 1975).West Timor, still a part of Indonesia.Population: East Timor (1 milion), West Timor (1,7 milion). With Flores and Sumba,West Timor forms East Nusa Tenggara Provinsi.
