I first saw a version of this at www.halloween24-7.com. It was an animatronic skull created by Tom Burdash (who got his inspiration from Mike Fox & Brian Leim). I tried to contact him to buy one (according to that website he sells kits), but the email address is an old one. Therefore, I had to build one myself. It took about three weeks to figure out how to do it, and a couple of days to build. I had a old plastic skull, that I no longer used, packed away with Halloween decorations. I imagine I spent about $200 on servos, controller boards, software, etc., but it was worth it. I only had 2 days to program the animatronic. Therfore, I only programmed 4 different sequences. (I could run any scene at any time.) I have videos of each sequence on YouTube. I plan on adding more next year. (PS There's a copy of the original video, I saw, here on YouTube. Search for "Ghost Host Animatronic 01". There's a different email address listed on that video. I don't know if it works or not.) Thanks Tom for your inspiration! Paul Frees Rules!

It's from the Haunted Mansion 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Compact Disc. It was available, at Disneyland, in 1999. It's out-of-print. You might be able to find one on eBay. It's a must have for any Haunted Mansion fan.
