I agree that many comments are nasty and rude as well as sick on many YouTube videos. It is very disappointing. When I see a video I like and then see nasty comments, I really feel for the video presenter because he or she took the time and effort to make something for others, and it is not only not appreciated, it is mocked in an attempt to hurt them. There's a rule people should follow: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything." Thanks for your video!

I totally agree with your sentiment & it's something i try & follow as well. We can't like everything we watch. But, i always respect the video maker.

Thanks for commenting on this video. I didn't think anyone would be watching a video that's over 18 months old.

How did you come to find this & watch it, seeing as it's so old? :)

I was another of those who was marking them as spam. Argent009 (mike) was the one who suggested it be featured and he made a video appologizing for it and trying to drum up support for some sort of a campaign to stop things like this from happening. You might want to check that out.

Hi, I have just heard about this old fella who passed away and would like to watch his WW2 videos to learn. But is it true his Wife removed them all? I think that's a bit sad. I understand that's her choice but it would have been nice for younger people to have first hand info and to llearn as many of these old soldiers are passing on. I think it would have been a nice tribute to keep the videos in place. Hope you will reply to this with your opinion and let me know if I can find his videos...

I don't think age applies to YT videos, since they are topic specific. Since the problem of nasty comments is "ageless", so the topic of dealing with it is "ageless". YT keeps videos on line "forever" (or so it seems) so even if your vid is "old", to me and others, it's brand new. I think the Net has created a whole new concept of time.
