also Vista ultimate uses about the same amount of resources as Windows 7 Ultimate if not less than Windows 7. it really depends on what you are running and if you're using the internet, or playing games, or playing music to use a lot resources. It even out performed Windows 7 on my mom's new Emachines computer that came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with only 2 GB RAm and 2.8GHz AMD Sempron CPU
I have used Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my Computer. It is 3.2GHz Pentium 4 HT, 6 GB RAM, and 160GB hard drive, Windows Vista out performs Windows 7 by a long shot and it does not use as many resources as people let on. With Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, after all the updates and latest service pack, it ran painfully slow, I mean turtlish slow. Vista Ultimate 64 bit is super fast and only takes 20 secs to load to the login screen, then 7 secs to load the desktop.
@CharlesSteele08 dude, win 7 has mostly everything vista had but uses less resources, name some things u miss from vista to win 7 and ill tell you how to use them cause their prob still there, vista was great for me too compared to windows xp,things like indexed searches..i could not use xp again because of that, but win 7 does this faster, there really isnt any advantage i can think of to using vista now
oh and ive been using win 7 since it was RC and never got one blue screen :P
@drinkbudyXD no I ain't been smoking anything, i can just do more with vista than 7, based on my experience using both OS's with the same hardware. Of course, that's my opinion anyway.
Keep your pants on, its m3 is a bit more patched, but it cant do all that much, it's not fake, neither is it really windows 8... Milestone meaning the OS is still in processing... At the moment, you wont really see much of a proper build to download TILL... well lets say HTML5 is supporting audio properly without a sperate pluggin.
