I'm in a gender studies class. It's pretty interesting. A little bit fucked up. I dont understand the "stupid or horny" thing, as it's a faily theory intensive course. And horny? What the fuck?

@classic7890 following your line of thought, I should not be compelled, aka forced, to pay the uninsured hospital bills when they get sick and need to go to the er. What part of totally Un-Constitutional do you not get about fining and jailing people who refuse to pay taxes because they don't want their money to go to the uninsured's hospital bills?

There is NOTHING in the Constitution that says you must pay someone else`s bills.

The specific enumerated rights (Art.I Sect.8) mean that that is the jurisdiction of the States ( 1onth Amendment).

That is what a Constitutional Republic is. If a State wanted to institute Socialism and a 90% tax rate it could, but it is not the purvey of the Federal Govt..

Unfortunately, the USA has slid into socialism and is careening towards Totalitarianism.

My point was that we are all bearing the burden of the uninsured because when they end up in the hospital their care is payed by the tax payer. Seeing as we all must pay taxes we all must pay for the uninsured. Public option may be socialism under the broadest interpretation but either way your paying for peoples healthcare. With the Public option, though, they can receive preventive care which, in the long run, is much less expencive.

Doesn`t work. Allow me to remind you:

- California will no longer subsidize mammograms for poor women under 50

- USPSTF is a panel funded and staffed by the HHS Agency recommendation that women under the age of 50 not undergo annual mammogram screenings has provoked outrage from oncologists.

Govt. Deathcare rationing.

And you would be correct, if you were an American like Jefferson was. Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated. or Madison, With respect to general welfare, I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.

Since when does the taxpayer pay people's tuition? Last I checked, most people had to pay their own tuition by going enormously into debt. Unless they have rich mommies and daddies, of course.

Ever heard of "public universities"? Its where the public (the tax paying part) pays most of the tuition.
