Recent operations within the frame of the Ergenekon investigation are disclosing the terror organization's activities. Documents captured during the searches in the offices of the retired generals include unbelievable information. Ergenekon is claimed to be an umbrella organization which exploits other terrorist groups. Meanwhile, the Ergenekon suspects are reported to have plotted to kill the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals.
The Ergenekon structure does not look like other known terror organizations. Ergeneokon is believed to be hosting other bloody terror organizations. This hosting structure establishes new crime organizations, and then helps them and manipulates them when needed.
When the Ergenekon feels the necessity to intervene in politics, it organizes bloody actions, and assassinations manipulating the social atmosphere which it has maintained.
Connections with the PKK, the DHKP-C, Hezbollah
The disclosed information show that the Ergenekon has had connections with such know terrorist groups as the PKK, the DHKP-C, and Hezbollah.
Bloody action plans
According to the documents found in the offices of the generals who are still under arrest, the Ergenekon has plotted assassinations, bombings, attacks to create chaos to destabilize the current government.
Bomb Attack at Taksim Square in Istanbul
The findings have revealed that the group planned a bomb attack in Istanbul's busy Taksim Square to trigger a chaotic environment that would eventually lead to military intervention, like the May Day events that turned out to be a bloody attack in 1997 that 34 people were killed.
The triggermen of the planned Taksim attacks are reported to be Osman Gunduz and a number of others including PKK members.
Meanwhile, the gang is claimed to have been involved in provocation and agitation during the Gazi(gha-zee) incidents of 1995, when tens of people died in clashes with the police in demonstrations after an attack at an Alevi coffeehouse in the neighborhood.
Resemblance with the Hudson Scenario
The action plans belonging to the Ergenekon terror organization remind Turkiye scenarios of the Hudson Institute. Taksim bombings took place in the Hudson scenarios previously.
Assassination to the chief prosecutor
Documents found in the office of the retired general Shener Eruygur indicate the organization plotted to kill Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of Appeals and put the blame elsewhere to stir up the tensions in the country.
Ergenekon everywhere
It is reported that the Ergenekon has its finger prints on previous actions such as creating Turk-Kurdish clashes in south province of Mersin by burning the Turkish flag, cutting throats of the missionaries in eastern province of Malatya, murdering Armenian originated Turkish journalist Hrant Dink, attempting the of assassination of Ahmet Turk who is the leader of pro-Kurdish party.
The Ergenekon is said to have involved other past events such as burning the Madimak hotel in eastern province of Sivas,
The leader of Workers Party, Perinchek the contact person
The Ergenekon is believed to hire the PKK for some of it's needs and the contact person is said to be the leader of Workers Party, Dogu Perinchek. Also delivering 6 thousand weapons to the PKK and the action plan are thought to be the connection with Perinchek.
Second man of the PKK in jail was interrogated; Ocalan is due to be examined
Sirri Sakik who was the second man of the PKK following Ocalan has been questioned in jail. Ocalan is expected to be interrogated in the frame of the Ergenekon investigation.
7th wave of operation underway
The Next operation is reported to be against a team which plotted sensational actions believed to be executed by Osman Gurbuz who was detained in Antalya.
