@TurboRonin83 I agree with you that Alan was a gifted teacher who made the tedious works of others enjoyable etc. but I have to strongly disagree with the not much of a philosopher part.

Every one before birth should be gifted with an I.Q. of 500% or higher. No more Hate, No more Sin, No more Death.

Alan Watts was not so much a Philosopher himself but he was more like a gifted Teacher of philosophy who made the often tedious works of others more enjoyable and easier to understand. For that I respect him a lot. And to all you kids out there - respect your teachers !!!

There is no new thoughts everything has been said before in a different way . What AW does is remind us of our inherent knowledge that we are dependent beings who need a frame of reference to something we can relate to in order to feel alive. Unfortunately we have reached a point where we can only relate to a limited frame and that is threatening to our existence
