Last month, AMD earned a Guinness World Record for highest clocking speed ever recorded with its forthcoming 8-core CPU, code-named Bulldozer. Now, however, the company has pulled back the curtain on the new multicore processor line, which will come in four varieties, ranging from a $115 entry-level model to a $245 high-end configuration.

@Cobac u usually find older intel cpu's that outperform an amd cpu at the same price,but if you buy the newest shit ,then ya amd is cheaper,

@shadowhunter388 no .... they are head to head and usually amd has lower prices but you wont see a gigantic diffference , a 200 $ cpu from amd will equal a 250-300 $ intel with or without overclock . depends on what software , for example the ps2 emulator does requiere SSE3 and SSE4a which AMD doesn't have , depends on what software you use , if its games then you wont see insanely different scores

for all people thinking to buy fx cpus , dont bother , AMD is lying to you with there 8 cores , its 4 cores and 8 threads , 8150 is outperformed in almost all applications by i5 , and its quad , and if you take i7 2700k its new cpu it out performes everywhere 8150 so why spend money into crap go get some decent intel cpu and believe me better buy i7 it will be much better investment ,piece out guyz
