..the drummer is Peter Howard...I was at this show..this was the 3rd song of the set and the 1st time that I had ever heard it was at this show.. now 26 years later its my #1 Clash tune...and I miss Joe ; (
1.) The Clash had NO CONTRACT to play the US Festival, and therefore tried to extort in refusal to play US Fest billionaire Wozniak into donating merely some--10 or 20% of the profits to charity (this at a Festival charging $2 for a beer in 83). The US Festival in 83 cleared huge profits, making up the supposed loss of '82. In any case, their motive was noble, and US Festival greed is such that they cannot even issue the musical performances to this day. Piggery inc.
