@annaewf She's not annoying. She has all the hallmarks in her speech and mannerisms of a very troubled individual who is hiding behind a sad and weak attempt at being intellectual and understanding psychologist. She's on the delusional edge and it's about time Billy or someone else assisted her to get help, before she goes over the edge.

its clear stephen knows himself quite well and her probing of his exp in his teens as abuse is a leading questions with alot of charge on it. She is projecting and assuming there is more to be told and I love how he stands strong. He could teach her a thing or two about being authentic. Her patronising tone really grates on me.

funny how everyone is talking her down while this little clip has thousands of views and the other 3 parts of this interview have only hundreds of views.
watch the whole thing before shouting your opinion across.
other than that, this is the first time i hear this about stephen and i'm very surprised and shocked. i hope he fixes his problems.

do you have the episode with sharon osbourne?

she has a doctoral degree, ergo she is - de facto and de jure - a doctor (not of medicine but of clinical psychology). nothing so-called about her.

as a psychologist who specialised in teaching, learning and development and who frequently disagrees with clinical psychologists... i'm inclined to agree somewhat. not all are idiots, but a good many are. they stick with a medical model, which makes me think that they wanted to be psychiatrists but failed to get into medical school so they took the next best thing.
bit sad, really.

very much an issue here. this is why i favour behavioural assessment over this quasi-psychoanalytic approach of hers.

Pamela STEPHENson... and yes... this is the Pamela that married Billy.

@mctmct1987 Isn't this the Pamela Anderson (no relation) that married Billy Connolly? Looks a lot like her!

Also I think gay people are more inclined to be depressed because they would feel separated from society when they are growing up - and they experience first hand prejudice.
Both my brother and myself went through a terrible period of depression because we both were not accepted for our sexuality. And I know many other gay people who have attempted suicide and some unfortunately have succeeded.
The reason for her annoyingness is that she can't keep up with Stephen. She is trying to be the "doctor" who asks all these questions and gives an explanation/diagnoses based on the answers.
Trouble is that Stephen knows all of this himself and that he is quite a few steps ahead already.
She desperately tries to stay in control, but she is not the "authority" anymore. It's actually Stephen Fry explaining to her.

Why is there so much anti-Pamela feedback?
