We're JC & The Two-Steps and this is our version of Ed Sheeran's "You Need Me, I Don't Need You". The arrangement has elements of "Funk Blaster" by Koan Sound, "Red" by Laid Blak and "In Da Club" by 50 Cent. We're a function band based in the North West and if you are interested in booking us then get in touch:

Since forming in Summer 2012, JC & The Two-Steps have gained a great deal of attention and interest from a wide range of people. There are six members of the band and we have all been best friends and musical colleagues since we first started playing.
Despite our relatively young ages (we range from 18 to 21) we have all had many years of gigging experience and our originals bands have enjoyed national success and touring experience, including press coverage in Kerrang! and NME as well as supporting acts such as Status Quo, The Automatic, Deaf Havana, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Lower Than Atlantis, The Blackout and King Charles. We all own a large array of instruments and gear and we are all heavily involved in the Liverpool music scene as musicians, producers, sound engineers, and music video producers. We decided to form JC & The Two-Steps because of our mutual love and appreciation of music from all eras and because we wanted to have the opportunity to forge a full-time career in music.
We have performed at many events including weddings, parties, functions and public performances. Some highlights include performing for the Brightside Trust CLC charity (which was recently featured on Sky One's All Stars Christmas Presents) at their yearly fundraiser, a local youth charity which we actively support and have gained nationwide recognition including celebrity involvement from the likes of Britain's Got Talent winner George Sampson, Tyler James from The Voice and television presenter and actress Sally Lindsay. We also have a weekly Friday residency at the Jack Rabbit Slim's club in Hoylake, Merseyside, where we have established a large fanbase and have honed our craft enough to work out exactly what kind of music makes people want to have a good time, to get up, dance and gain interest in our band. Recently returning from a very successful trip to Le Mans, France, we found the value in networking with potential clients from across the globe.
We have a large online profile and we produce recordings and music videos of our cover songs and have gained over 16,000 views on our YouTube page. We self-produce our recordings and videos. Our arrangement of Justin Timberlake's "Rock Your Body" was recently used by a contestant on Nouvelle Star (the French version of Pop Idol) and we were credited for the arrangement which gained us a great deal of publicity! The ethos of our band rests on the fact that we like to change songs to make them the most enjoyable they can be, infusing our own love of reggae, funk and groove into the songs. We are all accomplished singers in our own right and our lead singer Jack Clarke was the lead singer of the Wirral Big Band for five years, gaining national recognition. We focus heavily on our appearance and the style of the band as we are constantly interested in how we look as a commercial prospect and we understand how to sell ourselves, how to promote our music and how to gain a great deal of local support and interest.
We hope you enjoy our songs, music videos and photos and we hope you see in us a 'commercial quality' that will convince you that we would be a fantastic band to have at your event. It's not a cliché when we say that we are dedicated, vibrant and very hard-working. We have built a function band that people are genuinely excited about and it would be a pleasure to come and play for you all!
